Dr. Antonio Ferramosca

Antonio Ferramosca is Associate Researcher at the Argentine National Scientific and Technical Research Council (CONICET).

He received received the degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Pavia (Italy) in 2006, and the Ph.D. degree in Automation, Robotics and Telematics, with full marks and honors (summa cum laude), from the University of Seville (Spain) in 2011. His thesis, titled “Model Predictive Control for Systems with Changing Setpoints”, was supervised by Prof. Dr. Eduardo F. Camacho and Prof. Dr. Daniel Limon.

He visited the Department of Process Control of the Institute of Technological Development for the Chemical Industry (INTEC, CONICET), Santa Fe, Argentina, in 2010, and the Department of Chemical Engineering of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, U.S.A., in 2009, both as a guest researcher.

At the University of Seville (Spain), he served as Teaching Assistant and Lecturer for the course of System Control Theory, in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

He is author and co-author of more than 50 publications including book chapters, journal papers, industrial reports and conference papers. His research interests include Model Predictive Control, economic optimization, stability analysis, linear and nonlinear constrained systems, distributed control, robust control, and process control.
